Description
US 25 crosses from Rockcastle County into Madison County at Boone Gap. This crest divides the waters of the Rockcastle River basin from the Kentucky River basin. The DAR placed a marker here in 1915.
With an inscription in the concrete base on which the marker was placed, the Kentucky Daughters honored Miss Erna Berry Watson for her work in organizing the Daniel Boone's Trail project in Kentucky and arranging for the placement of 15 cast iron tablet.
